An Experiment

Adults are just children "damaged in shipping."

So, I suggest an experiment.

Try and envision someone you intensely dislike as a small child,

A child who needs love and protection to grow, like a plant that needs water.

Think of what you would do if that child held out his or her hand.

Soon, you might realize that the adult is but a child “damaged during shipping.”

Now the needs of a child are the same everywhere,

So you can expand your vision across many lines that could divide us.

This is but an experiment.

It probably won’t change the world,

But it might change you and me.
