Colonies

A friend pointed out that people don’t mind using the word “colonies,”

But become uncomfortable with the words “Colonialism” or

Even worse “Colonizers.”

The people who live where the colonies were created

Or perhaps :imposed”

Understand why we also apply the word “Colony” to fire ants and bacteria

As well as to great powers.
