The Giver and the Gift Refused.

hcdjfb

What does it mean when one opens the hand to others,

But the other does not accept?

What happens when one opens the heart to others,

And they do not enter?

What happens when we offer the ear to others,

But they do not speak?

For even the strongest, that rejection of kindness hurts,

Is a vulnerability can wound temporarily or permanently.

But what is lost?

For the giver, the gift remains unclaimed.

The lover, the love remains unclaimed.

For the listener, the gift of time remains unclaimed.

But relax and don’t concentrate on the refusal.

Rejoice at what you have to offer, knowing that--

All your gifts are just waiting for their rightful owner.

Then, the gift is doubled.

And by offering, you've already given to yourself.
