The most profound truth is always wrapped in paradox.
There is something eternal in impermanence
There is something infinite in finitude
There is something flawless in the flaw
There is something timeless in the passing of seasons. That “something” is love—eternal, infinite, flawless, and timeless.
It persists when two young shoots sprout on the tree,
On the same branch, but each on its own stem.
When the shoots blossom into fragrant flowers,
When the flowers form fruit,
They soon ripen and mature,
Ever growing sweeter as they fully ripen,
Until, long on the tree, before winter comes,
The fruit wrinkles as the cold winds move in.
Yet it remains sweet, even sweeter.
From sprouting bud to flower to fruit, to ripeness,
Soon to face the gray, cold winds to come,
We are from the same tree
Growing on the same branch
And nourished by the same eternal, infinite, flawless, and timeless essence,
Growing older and sweeter together
Until we fall together
And rest on the soil whence love comes and nourishes it.
Your greatest beauty comes in living this mystery together
