The Truth is simple and stands alone
The truth is simple and like a pine tree.
Think of a Christmas tree.
We cut it, severing it from its roots
We adorn it, hanging all sorts of decorations on it,
And it looks so charming and beautiful.
But in the end, you have a dead pine tree,
Discarded and cast to the curb.
So, do not sever the truth from its roots or it will die.
Do not ornament it or decorate it, or you won’t recognize it for what it is,
And when it is unadorned, it won’t be the living truth
The truth is best unsevered from its roots and unadorned,
For the truth is simple, a lonely pine.
